For starters: I am not a makeup guru or serious collector. My makeup review is based on ‘daily’ natural makeup wearing.

I have been using this mineral foundation for a few months now. There are things I like and dislike about it. I will first start by saying that I personally believe the price you pay for makeup does not determine it’s quality or that you will like it. With that being said, I think this makeup is too expensive for it’s price tag. The mineral makeup foundation is $64.99 and the powder brush is $29.99. My foundation color I bought is ‘Nutmeg’ because I purchased this during the summer and I had a fairly dark skin tone. Meaning, to be able to wear this year round I had to maintain a good tan.

Pros:

• Despite the color being so dark, this makeup blends well. I think other colors in this mineral foundation would blend well too (assuming you have good practice in blending your foundation when you apply it).
• The foundation lasts a long time! I have been using this for over 6 months and it barely looks like I have used any. A little bit of this goes a long way. I learned that after my first few times applying the foundation. Using too much gives a really bad blending job, as well as the fact that I looked completely orange.
• The powder brush holds the foundation powder very well. I like taking the brush and dabbing it into the foundation, then tapping the brush upside down. This makes the powder go more into the brush and makes the foundation blend better.

Cons:

• Belle Pierre Mineral Foundation is not the best summer time makeup choice. If you think you’re going to get sweaty, do not attempt to wear this foundation. I have had bad results with this. It comes off terribly and also makes your face blotchy if you have a dark color such as the one I purchased.
• It stains clothes! I love shopping and trying on clothes. Little did I know, as I was trying on this cute top, I realized I had accidentally stained it. The color was orangish, and it was then that I realized it was my makeup. After accidentally staining my own clothes, I have now learned it’s easily removable with product like Shout stain remover.
• Although their website says the powder brush is made with 100% natural hair, I doubt it. It is not really soft, and honestly feels rough as I apply foundation on my face. The bristles also fall out occasionally.
• Don’t drop the foundation container or keep it in a makeup bag. As with any mineral foundation like this, the powder easily seeps through the holes of the container too quickly and when you go to open it, you could make a huge mess. Considering it stains clothes, I made sure not to make this mistake.

Overall, Belle Pierre Cosmetics in my own opinion were average. The description of this product on their company website store states that this is a “5-in-1″ foundation, meaning it contains the concealer, foundation, setting powder, etc. However, I believe it does not cover blemishes well and the use of concealer helps. If I consider wearing this makeup vs. not wearing any makeup, it’s significantly different (in a good way). However, for the price, I would recommend buying another brand. Many other cosmetic brands offer the same quality as these products at considerably lower prices.

What do you think of these 10 inch stilettos?  You probably recognize them because you’ve seen them countless times on Lady Gaga’s feet. They are designed by the famous Alexander McQueen, who has unfortunately passed away this past February. Although they seem quite ‘freaky’ looking, I actually think they are quite neat in terms of fashion, wouldn’t you think? I would think it would be quite fun to try a pair on, but I would not voluntarily try walking in them by all means. No wonder Lady Gaga trips herself. Anyway, since it has been reported that there are only 21 pairs of these Amadillo Alexander McQueen shoes in existence, I don’t think any of us will be trying them on for fun anytime soon. In addition, they are ranged from $3,900 dollars to $10,000 dollars per pair.

What do you think of these combos? Which is your favorite? I love tights. They are becoming very trendy with short dresses and cute shorts. These pattern ModCloth tights are so cute too. My favorite of this set of 4 Forever21 dresses are the first 2. Tights are becoming so popular, although I have to say, they don’t pair well with certain outfits. How many, if any, do you own? • Chanel clutch

• Forever21 tank, scarf, owl necklace & floral oxfords

Gosh this is so cute, not gonna lie. My weakness is oxfords, especially adorable ones like that. Not to mention adding some sort of “owl” to any outfit, honestly, doesn’t it just throw it all together? This outfit is pretty affordable too, AE & Forever21 are great places to shop! Except for the Chanel clutch, that isn’t anywhere near affordable (unless you get knockoffs) ;). The cute thing about this outfit is that you can even wear it in the winter if you’re brave enough, just add a cute little peacoat!

Check out this new scene outfit I put together. It’s perfect! Not too out there, and it’s really cute. The shirt is from Glamour Kills. My all-time favorite place for t-shirts. Any kind of skinny jeans will do, but I just thought those were awesome. The shoes are some Vans, you can find them at Journeys. & to top it all off, some bracelets, preferably like 5 or so on one arm! This outfit should not cost too much either! Hope you like it, let me know. I’m going to start doing daily outfits and other stuff. I’m just getting started on SceneSix so it’s going to take me time to get the hang of it!

• Get some awesome choppy layers cut into your hair. If it is curly, think about having it straightened! GETTING it razored will make people think you are aiming for an emo look.

• Dye your hair black or stark blond with streaks of other colors, such as bright pink or electric blue, any color that is crazy and will stand out. You could also dye underneath a bright color, and leave the top your natural color. As an alternative, you can keep your natural hair color and get some lowlights/highlights that compliment your hairstyle. The most common hairstyle in the scene is either straight black or blond with black underneath.

• Grow out your fringe and pin it to the side with Kirby grips or bow clips during the process.

• Mess up the back with a little hair serum or, if you want a more boyish look, use gel to get a wet look. You might put some porcupine spikes in the back, as a suggestion.

• Get extensions if you’d prefer to have long scene hair.
